The Ambassador

H. E. Mr. Mohammed Habib Idris

His Excellency Mr. Mohammed Habib Idris has been the Ambassador of Ghana to the State of Kuwait since 29 September, 2023.

Ambassador Idris is a career diplomat with 22 years’ experience in the Ghana Foreign Service. Prior to his current appointment he served in various capacities in Ghana Missions abroad including, Minister Plenipotentiary and Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Ghana in The Hague, Netherlands, Consul-General, Ghana Consulate-General in Jeddah as well as  Counsellor, Ghana Embassy in Riyadh, both  in Saudi Arabia.

While in Ghana Ambassador Idris served as Director of  Passports, and other Bureaux of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration including, Multilateral Relations, Africa, the Americas, Information, Culture and Linguistics Bureau  as well as Inspectorate and Audit Bureau.

Ambassador Idris holds a B. A. Degree in Geography and History and an MSc. in Development Policy and Planning, both from the University of Science and Technology, and M.A. in International Affairs from the University of Ghana. Ambassador Mohammed Habib Idris is a product of Tamale Secondary School.
